Providing services to all since 1929.

Whether it be through the offering of technology or service, your Webster Parish Libraries strives to provide equitable access and opportunities for all within the parish. New services are constantly being added to ensure patrons benefit from and have access to the resources they need in a rapidly changing technologically driven environment. Your libraries aim to provide opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society.

Exam Proctoring

For convenience, Minden and Springhill library locations offer exam proctoring for testing that cannot be completed on-site at education institutions. If you need a physical or online exam proctored, contact your local library to arrange a date and time for testing. Study rooms with access to electrical outlets are available if required and requested prior to testing. Upon completion of a physical exam, one of our librarians will submit your test to the appropriate point of contact. There is no charge for this service.

Your libraries are here to help you preserve those precious memories. With technology constantly evolving, those at home memories preserved on VHS will eventually be lost as players become inaccessible. Bring your tapes to your Minden or Springhill library branches for conversion to DVD or flash drive and hold on to those documented memories longer. Conversion cost is $1.00 per DVD and $5.00 per flash drive. We will fit as many recordings as possible on one device upon request. Click here for a copy of the VHS to DVD Conversion Policy for more information.

Beanstack Logo.png

Beanstack is an exciting new way for patrons to engage with their library. It allows our librarians to easily create reading challenges for our patrons to tackle. Sometimes these challenges might be for individuals, but on some occasions they might be community challenges, like the annual Summer Reading Program, where everyone pitches in to accomplish the goal! Beanstack also works as a tool for patrons looking to keep a reading log as well as a number of other features.

Get a head start on early learning.

Regularly reading books with your child makes a world of difference when it comes to kindergarten-readiness. It’s also a wonderful habit to start as a family--reading together promotes strong bonding, fosters a love of reading, and creates precious memories!
